Here's some circumstances where I feel Asian men are more masculine: Asian guys is such a diverse group of people it is very hard to pin them all down to feminine/masculine labels.
Wow thanks for this complicated question. Being a bear means being sensitive to all these socially valued masculine trait and feeling it on a sexual level. Does he eat a lot? Does he "man spread"? Is he independent? Does he take charge? Is he comfortable with his weight? Is he assertive? What cloth/shoe does this guy wear? Does he walk fast or slow? We pay extreme close attention to these things and every single masculine characteristic is like score getting added on top of each other. We pay very close attention to how men behave. Furthermore, many of us reject feminine looking men. We believe that whatever is pumping out of the media is artificial, whereas bear men reminds us more of the people that we grew up with, ordinary folks who were using their bodies to get things done. We feel like we are living in the real world, not a BTS fantasy. We are apes and our orders (whether we are dominant or submissive in certain situations) is dictated by our physical bodies.
To us this is the real logic of the human society. Look at all the characters out of movies who are seen as strong/powerful, almost all of them are bears (even in Disney movies haha). Look at all the wrestling champions in every single country, almost all of them are "bears". If I see a physically impressive man who is big on those two dimensions simultaneously, there is an attraction. Being a man means to be able dish things out physically, whether it means to project power on the court, on the street or on the bed. Absolutely! There is soooo much that straight Asian men do not get because they are not attracted to each other.īeing a gay bear feels like being a certain type of straight woman sometimes, because I can sense that we value similar things, despite society telling us otherwise.
